As we expand our engineering capabilities, we're seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to support a large, complex, long-term government program.
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Systems Engineer to join our team, with a focus on Cyber Asset Attack Surface Management (CAASM) platforms—specifically Armis and Axonius. In this role, you will play a critical part in assisting Federal Civilian Agencies enhance their visibility, control, and security posture across IT, OT, and IoT assets. You will be responsible for the planning, design, deployment and integration of these platforms to support the cybersecurity and IT operations of these Federal Civilian Agencies.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the design, deployment, and configuration of CAASM platforms including Armis and Axonius.
Collaborate with Federal Civilian Agencies to assist with the successful integration of CAASM Platforms with various data sources (e.g., EDR, CMDB, SIEM, vulnerability scanners) to ensure a complete and accurate asset inventory.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and diagrams.
Required Qualifications
US citizenship required per contract with ability to obtain Public Trust Suitability.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in systems engineering, IT operations, Cybersecurity, or a related role.
Familiarity with enterprise network architectures, asset discovery, and security frameworks.
Familiarity with IT and security tools such as CMDBs, vulnerability scanners, EDRs, and SIEM platforms.
Experience with scripting and automation (Python, PowerShell, or similar).
Strong understanding of API integrations, data normalization, and security telemetry.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience supporting Federal Civilian Agencies.
Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, FISMA)
Experience tracking and managing tasks in Jira and Confluence.
Experience with SAFe Agile methodologies in a scaled enterprise setting.
